March 2008

Hi everyone:

Well, we kept our lawn guy, let the cleaning people go and, I need to call and put myself in the sub system. Things have calmed down a little around here.

Had little Daymon last friday morning and dropped him off at Kelly's. He just wouldn't let grandma go. Love my grandchildren to death. Had Karli and Josi over Sat. Tara has been sick, and spent three hours at emrgent care. Josi is so cute. She loves grandma and grandpas rocking chair. She sits there all by herself and rocks and rocks.

When I see her, it reminds me of me as a little girl. Karli and grandpa were having fun as he twirled her around and around and they play box. We miss having Davis around. I miss the thursdays when Tanner and Davis came over.

Now Tanner you can still call your mom every week and also let me talk with Davis. So get over yourself and get going on that!!!!

I have decided that if I don't call Bran and ask him out to lunch, breakfast or dinner I will never see my son. When I call Ashley I seem to miss her. They are always busy with something. They are the flash gordons of the family here in a flash gone in a flash. Ha, ha, ha.....

Tasha, Dad and I went to see the photographs of Jesus at the vistors center sunday. They were amazing, especially the one with Christ walking on the water. I wanted to take that home with me.

Dad has to get his blood work to come back better or he will have to go on medication. So he has been working out everyday. He is really trying hard to get it at a better place. I am so slow and do try hard to get my weight down, eat healthy and excersise The latter is the hardest for me.

On sunday one of my little girls in my primary class was asked to tell something that isn't nice to do and she said phart in someones face. The primary counselor said no that isn't nice. Leave it to Emily, she is the cutest tinyest little one, but she can be a whipper snapper. Then we were talking about Jesus as a child in class and I asked them if Jesus were here what would you ask him. Emily said how come we have to choose the right.

She is the little one that doesn't want to leave her mommy to come to primary and has to sit on my lap at first. Then when she feels safe her real self comes out that is for sure, ha, ha, ha.

I do love teaching children it is the best job in the whole world, besides raising your own and having grandchildren.

Febuary, 2008

Time flys when your having fun, ha, ha, ha!!!! No pictures this month, gotta get on the ball and take more pictures or have some people send me new ones!!

Well Tanner and Erin are really gone and settling in New York. Now we will have to save up to go see them. It will be exciting to go to New York. Never have been there...

Looks like I am going to have to find another job. Thought we were going to be able to make it on just my preschools job, but no go. Don't know how we were affording Lansan's mission, except on faith.

Well, I will find something. Dad doesn't want to let the cleaning people go and the lawn people that come every other week, but looks like we may have too.

I cleaned yesterday and ooooo sore I am. Keep doing my excersises...
Got through how many birthdays?? Hope we didn't miss anybody. I think we get a little break now, ha!!

I think I might sub and run the kids corner program. At least that is what we are tending to think might work out best for me. We will see...You gotta do what ya gotta do!!

Daymon sings "You are my Sunshine" to everybody, it is too sweet. Josi is throwing her weight around these days and it is too cute. Karli girl is still grandma's girl and we love to cuddle on the couch and she watches me play Zelda. I called Davis on valentines cause I couldn't get a cookie to him, and he wouldn't come to the phone. The other day I called and he really wanted to talk to grandma and tell her about his owee.

Brandon made the deans list at ASU. If you want can read more on their blog. brandonashley.blogspot.com. Tawnya got her raise and position, I forgot what she is called now, but she likes it. Tanner says his company is really friendly, he also met a lds lady at his work, wow, in New York too, ha, ha....

Tasha keeps climbin and hiking, Lansan keeps talking and playing basketball, and Michllee is just our funny, down to earth, realist, that we couldn't do without.

Dad got two new suits, finally, they were half off and I made him get a navy blue one. He looks just sharp and devonieer, where is the spelling checker on this blog?????

My sister's hair is growing back and she is looking so good. You wouldn't even be able to tell she is terminal. She is a go getter, that is for sure.

The New Year 2008

Well, let us hope this new year for our family goes a little easier!!! The year 2007 was so challenging and so many changes. Dad says there is one thing you can count on and that is change.
Lansan is back home and he has grown so much. He was been humbled ten fold ,and I hope this new attitude and maturity is long lasting. Dad and I are getting too old for all the challenges in life, ha, ha. They are just beginning.
We are truly blessed with so much, the gospel of Jesus Christ and our family who has so much unconditonal love. I couldn't ask for anything more. My sister thinks our family is so beautiful and loving and accepting.
Well Dad is going to keep as busy as ever and my new challenge is to keep exercising and going to physical therapy when needed. It has helped my shoulder and arm so much. My right hip, however, is now bothering me, but I will learn to manage these new challenges.
Grandchildren are a true blessing and so much fun. Someday I am going to write that children's book and learn to quilt!!!
